Darrell Sheets, the charismatic star of the A&E reality series Storage Wars known as "The Gambler," has passed away at the age of 67. According to authorities, he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident occurred on April 22, 2026, at his residence in Lake Havasu, Arizona.
Police Investigation
The Lake Havasu City Police Department released a statement confirming the circumstances. Officers responded to a call on Chandler Drive around 2:00 a.m. and found Sheets with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Criminal Investigations Unit is handling the case.
Cyberbullying Claims
Following the news, Storage Wars castmate Rene Nezhoda alleged that Sheets had been tormented by a cyberbully. In an Instagram video, Nezhoda stated, "He had this guy really, really tormenting him lately and cyberbullying. I really hope police look into that guy." Sergeant Kyle Ridgway confirmed that authorities are aware of these accusations and are investigating.

After suffering a heart attack in 2019, he retired to Arizona, where he ran an antique store called Havasu Show Me Your Junk.
A&E expressed condolences, saying they were "saddened by the passing of a beloved member of our Storage Wars family." Sheets is survived by his children Brandon, Zoe, and Kimber.
