Nick Pasqual Convicted of Stabbing Ex-Girlfriend

Actor Nick Pasqual, known for a guest role on the television series How I Met Your Mother, has been convicted of attempting to murder his estranged girlfriend in a violent attack that occurred in 2024. The verdict was delivered last Friday in a Los Angeles court, according to ABC7.

Details of the Attack

Pasqual was found guilty of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child's parent. The charges stem from a stabbing incident on May 23, 2024, at the home of Hollywood makeup artist Allie Shehorn. Shehorn, who had a restraining order against Pasqual at the time, testified in court with visible scars on her arm and neck.

During her testimony, Shehorn described a violent altercation that preceded the attack. “I locked the door and he just started punching holes in that door and broke that open, and I just ran into the bathroom because I thought there’s another lock on that door,” she recounted. The attack left her fighting for her life, and a friend discovered her lying in a pool of blood, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.

Arrest and Legal Proceedings

After the stabbing, Pasqual allegedly fled the scene. He was later detained at a U.S.-Mexico border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. The conviction marks a significant step in the case, which has drawn public attention due to Pasqual's acting background.

Victim's Statement

On a GoFundMe page established for Shehorn, organizer Emily MacDonald issued a statement on behalf of the victim following the guilty verdict. “This verdict does not erase the trauma or the long road of recovery ahead, but it is an important step toward accountability and healing,” MacDonald wrote. She also expressed gratitude to supporters: “From visiting Allie in the hospital, to helping with her recovery, connecting us with resources, donating to the GoFundMe, and showing up in court — I cannot express how much each and every one of you has helped us get to this day.”

Sentencing and Acting Career

A sentencing hearing for Pasqual is scheduled for June 2 in Los Angeles. He faces a possible maximum sentence of life in state prison, as reported by Entertainment Weekly. Pasqual’s acting credits include a minor role in How I Met Your Mother as one of Ted’s architecture students, as well as appearances in Zack Snyder’s 2023 sci-fi film Rebel Moon, the 2013 Steve Jobs biopic Jobs, and the 2009 post-apocalyptic film The Road, according to his IMDb page.
