Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden have expanded their family with the arrival of their third child, a son named Nautas Madden. The couple shared the joyful news on Monday via Madden's Instagram, posting a heartfelt announcement that read, "Cameron and I are Happy, Excited, and feeling so BLESSED to announce the birth of our third Child, Nautas Madden. Welcome to the world Son!!"
The announcement included a whimsical drawing of an old-time pirate ship flying the Jolly Roger, accompanied by an explanation of the name's origins: from the Latin word "Nauta," meaning "sailor, navigator, voyager. One who embarks on a journey and fears not the unknown." Diaz, 53, and Madden, 47, added, "We love life with our family- our kids are healthy & happy, and we are grateful!!! Having a blast."
Family Life and Privacy
The couple, known for keeping their personal lives private, did not disclose further details about the birth. Diaz and Madden are also parents to daughter Raddix, 6, and son Cardinal, 2. Diaz, who returned to acting in the 2025 film "Back in Action," has previously spoken about becoming a mother later in life. In a 2022 interview with BBC Radio 2, she remarked, "The women who have children my age are like, literally 20 years younger, and that's an interesting place to be because I'm not that age. And that's totally OK. But I want to feel vital like that for my child."
The couple's announcement was met with an outpouring of support, including heart emojis from Diaz and Madden's twin brother and bandmate, Joel Madden. Representatives for the couple have not yet responded to requests for comment.
