Annemarie Wiley, a former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has filed for divorce from her husband, ex-NFL player Marcellus Wiley, accusing him of years of abuse including rape and threats to kill her. The filing was submitted in Los Angeles on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences, according to Us Weekly.
Details of the filing
Marcellus, 51, and Annemarie, 42, married in June 2014 and share three children: son Marcellus Jr., 10, and daughters Ariya, 7, and Alivia, 6. The sportscaster also has a daughter, Morocca, from a previous relationship. Annemarie is requesting legal and physical custody of their children with no visitation for Marcellus at this time, as well as spousal support and coverage of her attorneys' fees.
Alongside the divorce filing, Annemarie submitted a request for a domestic violence restraining order against her ex, seeking protection for herself and their children. In the request, obtained by People, she alleged that Marcellus “has subjected me to a continuing and escalating pattern of physical violence, sexual abuse, verbal and emotional abuse, financial control, and intimidation.”
Allegations of abuse
Annemarie described a pattern of abuse, stating, “Marcellus subjects me to constant criticism, cruel and sarcastic remarks, and intimidation. His verbal and emotional abuse is constant, and his physical abuse occurs approximately once a month, and at times more frequently. I am afraid of Marcellus, and I fear for my own safety and for the safety of our children.”
She recounted a specific incident on July 3 and 4 during a family trip to Orlando for their son’s basketball tournament. Annemarie claimed Marcellus “used one finger to sternly and intentionally poke her in the cheek” in front of one of their daughters and later threatened to kill her, saying “he was going to kill her” after putting his hands on her, according to her witness statement reported by Us Weekly. She also alleged he told her “she causes him to treat her badly and that she brings it on herself.”
Marcellus Wiley's arrest
The divorce filing comes after Marcellus was arrested on July 4 for alleged domestic violence battery. Police determined there was enough evidence to establish probable cause, and he was booked at the Orange County Jail on a domestic battery charge, held without bond. A no-contact order was issued on Sunday, barring him from contacting Annemarie and ordering him to stay at least 500 yards away from her, their home, and her workplace.
Annemarie, a nurse anesthetist in Beverly Hills, was a full-time cast member of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for its 13th season, airing from 2023 to 2024.
Other sexual assault allegations
Annemarie's allegations follow previous accusations against Marcellus. In April 2026, four women, including a former ESPN employee, accused him of sexual assault, as reported by Rolling Stone. Marcellus denied the claims on his podcast, stating, “They are attempting to leverage lies for personal gain, as they say, assassination by accusation, that’s their goal. They trying by lying. I’m going to continue to challenge all these false accusations.”
He also faces two rape allegations from his time as a student at Columbia University in 1994, according to a 2023 lawsuit. After that suit was filed, Marcellus called the claims “BS” on his YouTube show.
Marcellus Wiley spent nearly a decade in the NFL after being drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He also played for the San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, and Jacksonville Jaguars, earning a Pro Bowl selection in 2001 after recording a career-high 13 sacks with the Chargers.
