Congrats are in order for Alex Cooper and her husband, Matt Kaplan. On Sunday, Cooper, 31, revealed in an Instagram post that she and the film producer, 42, are expecting their first child together. In the carousel post, the podcaster cradled her baby bump while sitting on the armrest of a chair. Kaplan appeared beside her in the two photos. “Our family,” Cooper captioned her post alongside a white heart emoji.
A Joyous Announcement
Cooper and Kaplan tied the knot in April 2024. Following the ceremony in Riviera Maya, Mexico, she told Vogue: “It was everything we wanted it to be.” “It was emotional, heartfelt, and we tailored it to exactly how we always envisioned it,” Cooper added.
Changing Perspectives on Parenthood
In a January 2026 episode of her “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Cooper said she “really didn’t think” she wanted kids when she was in her 20s. However, she told guest Jennette McCurdy that “something changed” when she reached her 30s. “And I think that’s OK,” Cooper said. “I was like, ‘You know what? I actually think I do.’”
