The actor explained to the Daily Mail that they had always envisioned spending a year immersed in a different culture, and Paris became their chosen destination. The couple previously had a special connection to the French capital, as it was where Aaron proposed to Lauren on New Year's Eve in 2012.

"When the fires happened in L.A., we just knew that we were done with L.A., so we sold our house in L.A. and moved to Paris," Aaron revealed during the interview. This decisive action led them to list their luxurious Los Feliz mansion for $10 million in July, according to People magazine.

The family's new Parisian lifestyle hasn't diminished Aaron's professional commitments. The actor continues to travel back to the United States for work while maintaining his various business interests. Paul co-owns The Only caviar business and founded mezcal brand Dos Hombres with his former Breaking Bad co-star Bryan Cranston.
In a surprising revelation about their business practices, Aaron clarified that neither he nor Cranston take salaries from their successful mezcal company. "At Dos Hombres, we've never taken a salary," he explained. "We've never made money off of it. It's a misconceived sort of notion. We don't take a salary.
