Beyoncé made sure she had her favorite people on hand as she graced the Met Gala for the first time in a decade on Monday. The “Halo” singer looked regal in a diamond-embellished skeleton design by Balmain, paired with a sunburst headpiece, as she walked the red carpet with her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

Carter, 14, exuded poise in a white gown with diamonds, a cropped jacket, and cat-eyed sunglasses. Her father Jay-Z also joined the celebration, looking sharp in a black tuxedo. Beyoncé told Vogue’s La La Anthony that attending the event with her daughter felt “surreal” and that it was an honor to experience the gala through her eyes.
Beyoncé as Co-Chair
Not only a guest, Beyoncé was part of the VIP cohort of co-chairs, which included actor Nicole Kidman, Olympian Venus Williams, and Vogue visionary Anna Wintour. Her look was a bold interpretation of this year’s dress code, “Fashion Is Art,” chosen to highlight the mood of the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition, “Costume Art.”
Album Speculation Dismissed
The Queen Bey’s family-style red carpet comeback comes amid speculation that she was timing the release of her highly anticipated new album, “Act III,” to her Met Gala return. However, her longtime publicist Yvette Noel-Schure shut down the rumors in a reply to a fan’s X post last week, calling the predictions “unequivocally false.”
