Bad Bunny's Aged Look Stuns at Met Gala 2026

Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny turned heads on the Met Gala red carpet Monday night as the singer sported an unusual getup that seemed to prove some things do get better with age. Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, showed up to the event rocking a cane and an all-black tuxedo designed in collaboration with Zara. His hair and goatee were visibly gray, giving the world a preview of what the musician will look like in his golden years.

Prosthetics and Artistic Aging

Bad Bunny also sported prosthetics designed by makeup artist Mike Marino to aid in the artificial aging process. Marino is the artist behind many of supermodel Heidi Klum's fantastic Halloween costumes over the years, as well as her artistic 2026 Met Gala outfit. According to a Vogue report, the prosthetics were created after a conversation between Marino and Bad Bunny about how aging would affect his face, neck, and hands. The process for aging up the singer was reportedly hyper-focused on realism.

Tribute to the Exhibition

His aged look was a tribute to the many body types explored in the Costume Institute's 2026 exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. One text in the exhibition reads: "Perhaps reflecting our fear of having to face our own mortality, the youth-oriented fashion industry has traditionally ignored the aged body." Bad Bunny has attended the Met Gala five times since his debut in 2022, even serving as a co-chair in 2024.
