The City of Windsor is calling on young artists to participate in the 10th Annual Children's Art Exhibition. This milestone event celebrates a decade of showcasing the creativity and talent of local youth.
Call for Submissions
Children and teenagers are encouraged to submit their original artwork for consideration. The exhibition aims to highlight diverse artistic expressions, from paintings and drawings to mixed media and sculptures. All submissions must be original works created by the artist.
Eligibility and Guidelines
Participants must be residents of Windsor or the surrounding area, aged between 5 and 18 years. Each artist may submit up to two pieces. Artwork should be no larger than 24 by 36 inches and must be ready for display. Submissions will be accepted until July 15, 2026.
Exhibition Details
The exhibition will run from August 1 to August 31, 2026, at the Windsor Community Arts Centre. An opening reception is scheduled for August 1, where artists and their families are invited to celebrate the opening of the show. Awards will be presented in three age categories: 5-9, 10-13, and 14-18.
This annual event has become a cherished tradition in Windsor, providing a platform for young artists to gain recognition and build confidence. Past participants have gone on to pursue art in higher education and professional careers.
How to Apply
Interested artists can download submission forms from the City of Windsor's website or pick them up at the Windsor Community Arts Centre. Completed forms and artwork must be delivered in person during business hours. There is no fee to enter.
