The city will replace hundreds of streetlight poles that have reached the end of their service life. Work zones will be set up on major thoroughfares including Tecumseh Road, Dougall Avenue, and Huron Church Road. Lane closures will be in effect during daytime hours, with some overnight work scheduled to minimize traffic disruption.
According to city officials, the replacement program is part of a broader initiative to improve roadway safety and lighting efficiency. The new LED fixtures are expected to reduce energy consumption by up to 50% compared to older models.
