Senior Cyclist Succumbs to Injuries After Southeast Edmonton Collision
A 65-year-old man is dead following a collision with a Hyundai Tucson while cycling in southeast Edmonton on Sunday afternoon. The Edmonton Police Service confirmed the tragic incident, which marks a somber milestone as the city's 31st traffic-related fatality this year.
Details of the Tragic Incident
The collision occurred at approximately 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the intersection of 34 Street and 28A Avenue. According to police reports, the senior cyclist was crossing the street when he was struck by the SUV, which was being driven by a 41-year-old man.
Emergency Medical Services personnel provided immediate treatment at the scene before transporting the seriously injured cyclist to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, the 65-year-old man died from his injuries later that same day.
