Tragic Afternoon Collision Claims a Life

A fatal collision between a car and a tractor-trailer has resulted in the death of an 83-year-old woman from Morrisburg. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon on County Road 31 in South Dundas Township.

Emergency Response and Investigation

Officers from the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP detachment were dispatched to the scene of the crash just before 3:30 p.m. The woman, who was the driver of the car, was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was confirmed to have sustained no injuries in the collision. The OPP's investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
