Ontario Provincial Police have laid charges against a driver following a serious crash in Leamington. The collision occurred on May 3, 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m. on County Road 18 near Mersea Road 6.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, where one individual sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
The driver, a 34-year-old resident of Leamington, has been charged with careless driving causing bodily harm under the Highway Traffic Act. The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Police are continuing their investigation and urge anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward. The identity of the injured person has not been released.
