Calgary police are investigating a fatal collision after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Bow Trail early Thursday morning.
Incident Details
Emergency crews responded to the scene in the 200 block of Bow Trail S.E. around 6:30 a.m. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the location and is cooperating with investigators.
Investigation Underway
Traffic unit officers are examining the circumstances leading to the crash. Bow Trail was closed in both directions between 2 Street and 4 Street S.E. for several hours but has since reopened. No charges have been laid at this time.
This marks the 10th pedestrian fatality in Calgary this year, according to police data. Authorities urge drivers and pedestrians to remain vigilant, especially during low-light conditions.
