Four Charged After Drug and Gun Bust in Oshawa Toronto

Four individuals from the Greater Toronto Area are facing a slew of charges following a coordinated drug and firearm bust at residences in Oshawa and Toronto.

Joint Investigation Leads to Arrests

Durham Regional Police, in collaboration with Toronto Police, conducted a joint investigation that culminated in the arrests. The operation, dubbed Project Vista, was initiated in April after two victims were threatened and assaulted with a firearm.

On June 3, authorities executed a search warrant at a Toronto residence, resulting in the arrest of one suspect. During the search, police allegedly seized drugs, a prohibited firearm magazine, and ammunition.

The following day, June 4, a second search warrant was executed at a home in Oshawa. Officers took several individuals into custody without incident. A loaded firearm, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, hydromorphone, drug paraphernalia, and cash were allegedly located and seized.

Charges Laid Against Four Accused

Dane Fairclough, 32, of Oshawa, faces charges including assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, assault, pointing a firearm, forcible confinement, and three counts of assault with a weapon.

Baldwin Oswald Clarke, 35, of Oshawa, is charged with forcible confinement, disobeying a court order, assault causing bodily harm, five firearms-related offences, and five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Andria Schwab, 42, of Oshawa, is charged with forcible confinement, assault causing bodily harm, and five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Junior Ivan McKnight, 55, of Clarington, is charged with assault causing bodily harm and five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
