The iconic American denim brand Levi's has officially returned to Vancouver's downtown core, marking a significant retail comeback. The company has opened a new standalone boutique at CF Pacific Centre, filling a void left earlier this year and signaling the start of a larger expansion plan across British Columbia.
A Denim Destination Returns Downtown
For years, Levi's maintained a prominent shop-in-shop presence within the downtown Hudson's Bay department store. When that flagship location closed its doors in June 2025, it removed a key retail point for the brand in the city's heart. The new store, which officially opened on December 12, 2025, re-establishes Levi's with its own dedicated space on the mall's main floor.
This Pacific Centre location is now the third Levi's brand boutique in the Metro Vancouver region, joining existing stores at Metrotown, Park Royal, and Guildford Town Centre in Surrey. The brand also operates three outlet stores within the Lower Mainland.
Part of a Broader Retail Strategy
The opening is not an isolated event. Levi's has confirmed that a fourth boutique is scheduled to open in Metro Vancouver early next year. While not officially named, reports indicate this upcoming location will be in Richmond, further solidifying the brand's footprint in the province.
This expansion reflects a confident move in the B.C. retail market and aligns with a wave of activity at Pacific Centre. The mall has become a hub for recent openings and announcements, underscoring its status as a premier shopping destination.
Pacific Centre: A Hub of Retail Activity
Levi's is joining other notable brands in revitalizing the shopping centre's retail mix. Recently, The Body Shop reopened a location at Pacific Centre following the brand's transition to Canadian ownership, marking its 14th store in B.C.
In a major announcement this past November, Vancouver-based Aritzia revealed plans for a massive 40,000-square-foot flagship store at the centre. Scheduled to open in 2027, this four-floor boutique will occupy a portion of the space formerly held by Nordstrom, at the prominent corner of Robson and Howe streets.
The return of Levi's to downtown Vancouver with a dedicated store offers consumers direct access to the brand's full range of denim, clothing, and accessories. It represents a strategic investment in physical retail in one of Canada's busiest urban shopping districts, promising more options for shoppers and continued vibrancy for the city's core.
