Emergency crews were dispatched to the 600 block of Irvine Avenue, near Lillian Avenue, at approximately 5:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a residential fire. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a blaze that had originated on the main floor of the lower unit and subsequently spread to the upper unit of the duplex.
Fortunately, no residents were home at the time of the fire, preventing potential injuries. However, the two individuals who reside in the duplex have been displaced due to the extensive damage.

Fire investigators have preliminarily determined the cause to be accidental, though they have not completely ruled out electrical factors at this stage of the investigation. "Electrical causes cannot be ruled out at this time," officials stated, indicating that the investigation remains ongoing.
