Justin Gray Homes, a homebuilder with deep roots in both Edmonton and Jasper, has been recognized as the Small Volume Builder of the Year at the 2026 BILD Edmonton Metro Awards of Excellence in Housing. The award, which honors builders who completed fewer than 75 homes in the past year, reflects the company's commitment to quality and community.
Commitment to Jasper and Edmonton
Justin Gray, CEO and founder of Justin Gray Homes, highlighted the company's dual focus: assisting in the recovery of Jasper after the devastating July 2024 wildfire while expanding its footprint in the Edmonton region. "We have been involved in the rebuild efforts in Jasper and have recently achieved a major milestone in delivering the first rebuild possession in Jasper," Gray said. "We are dedicated to moving our homeowners in quickly, efficiently and with the signature quality and care that each Justin Gray home is known for."
At the same time, the company continues to grow in Edmonton. "We continue to expand our presence across the Edmonton region with custom infill homes in mature neighborhoods and new builds in thoughtfully selected communities," Gray added. "We have already sold out of Sienna in Fort Saskatchewan, Salisbury Village in Sherwood Park, and Parkside at Glenridding in southwest Edmonton. We are excited to continue our presence in Cherot in St. Albert and up next, Cambrian in Sherwood Park."
Market Trends and Pricing
Gray noted that 2025 was challenging for builders, but the market improved in early 2026. "In Edmonton, there has been an uptick in the market from January onwards, it's been a pretty hot pre-spring already," he said. "We're seeing steady demand and buyers who are really focused on quality and long-term value." In Cherot, homes start in the low $700,000 range and can exceed $1 million. Similar pricing is expected for upcoming developments in Cambrian and Rivers Edge.
Award Recognition
This marks the second time Justin Gray Homes has won Small Volume Builder of the Year, having previously earned the award in 2023. "To be recognized among such strong builders is truly humbling," Gray said. "It reinforces that the details and care we put into every home matter. To have won this award for the second time in four years is incredibly meaningful." The company also won Best Social Media Campaign for its 'We Obsess, So You Don't Have To' campaign, competing against entries from Cantiro, Sterling Homes, StreetSide Developments, and Rohit.
The awards ceremony took place in mid-March at the Edmonton Convention Centre. Justin Gray Homes' Ritchie 7, Kane Residence, and E Kane 2 Residence were finalists in various single-family home categories.
