2026 BILD Awards Honor Home-Building Excellence in GTA

The 2026 BILD Awards gala, held on May 28 in Vaughan, celebrated excellence and innovation in the design, construction, marketing, and sales of new homes in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Now in its 46th year, the event recognized the achievements of individuals and projects that contribute to the homebuilding and land development industry in the region.

Over 50 Awards Presented

BILD presented more than 50 awards in categories including architecture, design, marketing, people, and sales. For the first time ever, the prestigious project and builder categories were also awarded, and two individuals received the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Lifetime Achievement Award Recipients

David Feldman, founder and chairman of Camrost Felcorp, and Eddie Weisz, co-founder and president of Paradise Developments, were honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is the highest honor BILD can bestow, recognizing those who have dedicated a lifetime to the association and the industry, demonstrating significant leadership and commitment to the greater good.

David Feldman has a city-building career spanning over five decades, overseeing the construction of 100 buildings. He has helped shape the GTA through communities such as Upper East Village in Leaside and Marina Del Rey in Etobicoke. Beyond development, he is committed to philanthropy, establishing the David Feldman Centre for Real Estate and Urban Economics at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and supporting the University Health Network, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and Mount Sinai Hospital.

Eddie Weisz began his six-decade career as a construction supervisor for low-rise subdivisions across the GTA. He credits this early education in quality, accountability, and pride in workmanship as the foundation for well-built communities.

Judging Process

From over 500 submitted entries, a panel of 46 expert judges from across North America determined the winners. The awards recognize the hard work of marketers, builders, designers, and architects who play vital roles in the sector's success each year.

The BILD Awards gala serves as an opportunity to appreciate the excellence that sets the standard for the industry, honoring the people and projects that contribute to the GTA's homebuilding and land development industry.
