Vior Gold Corporation Announces Significant High-Grade Gold Intercepts at Ligneris Project

BROSSARD, Canada – Vior Gold Corporation has released initial results from its extensive 20,000-meter drill program at the Ligneris Project, located 55 kilometers northwest of Amos in Quebec's Abitibi region. The findings confirm high-grade gold mineralization and reveal promising new zones, marking a significant advancement in the exploration of this 100%-owned property.

High-Grade Results Confirm Historical Mineralization

The drilling campaign has successfully intersected substantial gold mineralization in the Ligneris South Zone, validating historical data from nearly four decades ago. Drillhole LI-26-002, positioned 50 meters northeast of the historical drillhole 275-073, returned impressive results of 35.2 grams per tonne gold over 3.0 meters and 21.6 g/t Au over 3.0 meters. These intercepts were found at depths of 170.7 meters and 201.5 meters, respectively.

The mineralization is hosted within felsic tuff that exhibits moderate to strong sericite alteration, with localized silicification near the gold zones. Disseminated pyrite content ranges from trace amounts up to 5%. The style and alteration observed at 170.7 meters closely resemble those in the historical hole, which reported 16.84 g/t Au over 8.0 meters, suggesting continuity of the mineralized system.

Discovery of New Mineralized Zones

In addition to confirming historical findings, the drilling has uncovered potential new zones of mineralization. The intercept of 21.6 g/t Au over 3.0 meters may represent a distinct new zone, as it cannot currently be correlated with the historical drillhole. Furthermore, drillhole LI-26-005 returned 5.64 g/t Au over 4.0 meters, including a higher-grade section of 8.56 g/t Au over 1.0 meter at a vertical depth of 625 meters.

This mineralization, hosted in brecciated rhyolite with sericite alteration and trace to 3% pyrite, potentially defines a new mineralized zone and represents the deepest intercept to date at Ligneris, indicating additional potential at greater depths.

Extension of Mineralization and Exploration Progress

Step-out drilling conducted 200 meters southwest of hole LI-26-002 has extended the mineralized trend, with hole LI-26-006 returning 2.05 g/t Au over 8.0 meters within a broader interval of 1.10 g/t Au over 24.2 meters. This result expands the mineralization southwest into an area that was previously underexplored, hosted in massive rhyolite with sericite and silica alteration.

Mathieu Savard, President and CEO of Vior Gold Corporation, expressed enthusiasm about the results, stating, "These initial findings confirm the high-grade nature of the gold mineralization at South Zone and validate the historical intercepts drilled almost 40 years ago. We are thrilled with today's results that extend the mineralized trend by more than 200 meters laterally and 260 meters vertically."

Ongoing Drilling Program and Future Prospects

The company is approximately halfway through its winter drilling program, having completed around 9,400 meters so far. With three rigs currently operational, Vior Gold is focusing on follow-up drilling for the deepest intersection and aims to extend known mineralization both laterally and vertically. Savard added, "We believe that the large halos of low-grade gold intersected so far could indicate the presence of a larger gold system, and we expect additional results in the upcoming weeks."

The Ligneris Project continues to demonstrate significant exploration potential, with these latest results reinforcing its status as a promising gold asset in Quebec's prolific Abitibi region.
