VANCOUVER, British Columbia – TDG Gold Corp has announced substantial new drilling results that significantly expand the mineralized zone at its Aurora West project in British Columbia's Toodoggone District. The latest Phase I drilling has extended gold-copper mineralization 150 metres beyond the company's property boundary, revealing continued strong grades and continuity.
Significant Drill Intercepts Expand Mineralization
The company's ongoing exploratory program has yielded impressive results from two key drill holes. Hole TDG25-009 intersected 1.26 grams per tonne gold, 2.6 g/t silver, and 0.29% copper over 82.3 metres, demonstrating the depth potential of the Aurora West Zone. Meanwhile, TDG25-010 hit 0.94 g/t gold, 1.7 g/t silver, and 0.24% copper across 142.2 metres, including a higher-grade section of 1.54 g/t gold, 2.6 g/t silver, and 0.36% copper over 56.0 metres.
Rapid Expansion of Mineralized Zone
According to company officials, the latest results represent a major step forward in understanding the scale of the Aurora West Zone. The new interval from TDG25-009 has pushed the mineralization an additional 50 metres westward, bringing the total extension to 150 metres beyond the property boundary. This expansion also extends approximately 50 metres down-dip from previously reported drilling results.
Fletcher Morgan, CEO of TDG, emphasized the efficiency of their exploration approach. "The sizeable drilling patterns used by TDG that are in excess of 100 metres between drill holes have delivered accelerated returns and capital efficiency," Morgan stated. "Having explored Aurora West Zone for only 5 months, TDG has established grade, continuity and rapidly delineated mineralization over a preliminary area measuring ~150 by ~600 metres with the zone still remaining untested in every direction."
Ongoing Exploration and Future Potential
The fully funded Phase I drilling program has now completed approximately 12,000 metres across 19 drill holes. The company continues to advance its exploration schedule with three drill rigs operating and expects to reach approximately 15,000 metres of drilling before the end of the year. Analytical results have experienced some delays due to high sample volumes at laboratories, prompting the company to release results in batches as they become available.
Notably, the mineralization encountered in TDG25-010 demonstrates a southwesterly expansion 50 metres west of the property boundary. Located 280 metres below surface, this mineralized zone remains open for expansion to the south and up-dip toward surface, indicating substantial potential for further discoveries.
The Greater Shasta-Newberry project continues to demonstrate its potential as a significant gold-copper system in British Columbia's established Toodoggone mining district. With mineralization remaining open in all directions and drilling ongoing, additional results are anticipated to further define the scale and quality of this emerging mineralized system.
