Mustang Energy Announces Promising Uranium-Copper Results at Surprise Creek Project

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Mustang Energy Corp. has announced the completion of a comprehensive geochemical analysis program at its Surprise Creek Uranium-Copper Project located in northwestern Saskatchewan. The company revealed encouraging assay results that highlight significant mineralization potential for both uranium and copper resources in this prospective region northwest of the Athabasca Basin.

Sampling Program Details and Results

The field program at Surprise Creek involved extensive surface prospecting activities and detailed rock sampling aimed at refining target areas and outlining mineralization patterns. Surface samples were collected from nine locations of interest where previous uranium and copper mineralization had been observed or where geophysical anomalies had been identified.

The results demonstrate substantial mineralization potential with uranium findings concentrated in the Surprise Creek area and copper mineralization identified at both Bob Lake and Maimann Lake areas. During the summer prospecting program, 37 grab samples were collected in the Surprise Creek area, which hosts polymetallic vein type uranium-copper mineralization.

The assay results revealed particularly encouraging numbers, with uranium values reaching up to 9.39% and 7.93% U3O8, accompanied by copper values up to 3.11%. Uranium surface mineralization has been traced discontinuously over a strike length of approximately 500 meters, indicating the potential scale of the mineralized system.

Project Location and Historical Context

The Surprise Creek Project is strategically positioned approximately 25 kilometers northwest of the Beaverlodge Uranium District, an area historically significant for uranium mining. This district hosts the historical uranium mines of Gunnar and Eldorado (Ace-Fay-Verna), though Mustang Energy cautions that proximity to these historical mines does not guarantee similar mineralization on their project.

Mustang Energy holds an option to acquire an 80% interest in the Project from Thunderbird Resources Ltd. under an agreement initially announced on June 4 and June 16, 2025. The exploration program is fully permitted, with all necessary approvals granted by the Saskatchewan Government.

Significant Anomalies and Future Exploration

A strong uranium radiometric anomaly has been identified at the previously defined Surprise Creek Fault drill target, where historical drilling returned results of up to 2.1 meters of 4.37% U3O8 from 57 meters depth. The recent sampling program has confirmed the presence of several historic copper targets, significantly enhancing the project's multi-commodity value proposition.

Both the uranium and copper locations warrant additional follow-up exploration, including ground prospecting and drill targeting to test anomalies at deeper subsurface depths. The company emphasizes that these promising results represent early-stage exploration findings that require further verification through additional drilling and analysis.

Corporate Information and Cautionary Notes

Mustang Energy Corp. trades on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the symbol MEC, with additional listings on OTC markets as MECPF and on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange as 92T. The company has entered into an option agreement with Thunderbird Resources Ltd. to acquire an undivided 80% interest in the Surprise Creek Project.

The company advises investors that discoveries of minerals on or near historic mines such as Gunnar and Eldorado, and any promising results thereof, are not necessarily indicative of the mineralization present on the Surprise Creek Project. Mustang Energy cautions that it has not yet confirmed the accuracy or reliability of all historical information and that these early results do not guarantee the company's ability to commercially exploit the project or locate any commercially exploitable deposits.

The exploration program represents an important step in Mustang Energy's strategy to develop mineral resources in Saskatchewan's prospective mining regions, with the Surprise Creek Project showing particular promise for both uranium and copper mineralization based on these initial sampling results.
