Miata Metals Reports High-Grade Gold Intercepts at Sela Creek Project in Suriname
Miata Metals Hits High-Grade Gold at Suriname Project

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Miata Metals Corp. (CSE: MMET) has released the final assay results from its extensive 2025 drill program at the Sela Creek Gold Project in Suriname, showcasing impressive high-grade gold intercepts that underscore the project's potential.

Exceptional Results from Jons Trend

The company's drilling efforts at the Jons Trend zone have yielded exceptional results, with multiple holes intersecting significant gold mineralization. Among the highlights are a 4.3-meter interval grading 12.49 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 122 meters depth in hole 25DDH-SEL-052, which includes an even higher-grade section of 1.3 meters at 29.24 g/t gold.

Another notable intercept came from hole 25DDH-SEL-059, which returned 22.7 meters at 2.23 g/t gold from 70 meters depth, including 15.9 meters at 2.84 g/t gold. Additionally, hole 25DDH-SEL-050 intersected 57 meters at 1.01 g/t gold from 89 meters, demonstrating the presence of both high-grade and wider disseminated mineralization.

Expanding the Mineralized System

These assay results confirm continuous gold mineralization between the known discovery zone and previously reported step-out holes, revealing continuity across a previously untested corridor measuring approximately 750 meters by 250 meters. The mineralization extends to depths of 200 meters and remains open in all directions, suggesting substantial expansion potential.

Dr. Jaap Verbaas, CEO of Miata Metals, emphasized the significance of these findings, stating, "All information from the 4,200 meters Miata has drilled to date at Jons Trend points to a substantial mineralized system that is open in all directions." He added that the company plans to aggressively follow up on these results in its 2026 drill program, which targets 25,000 meters of drilling.

Promising Results from Big Berg Target

In addition to the Jons Trend successes, exploration drilling at the Big Berg target, located about 500 meters southeast along strike from Jons Trend, has also yielded promising results. Hole 25DDH-SEL-040 intersected 8.1 meters at 2.21 g/t gold from 94.3 meters depth, including 3.7 meters at 3.94 g/t gold.

This mineralization appears to be hosted by a mineralized brittle-ductile fault that has previously returned 14 meters at 1.72 g/t gold, indicating the potential for further discoveries in this area.

Future Exploration Plans

Miata Metals intends to use the 2026 drill program to identify the full extent of Jons Trend's known strike, width, and depth. The program will also include discovery drilling on other targets such as Puma and Golden Hand, which are expected to comprise about half of the budgeted 25,000 meters.

Dr. Verbaas expressed optimism about the company's prospects, noting, "We believe that Miata has the potential to make several discoveries in 2026 now that we know the key controlling features for gold mineralization across Sela Creek."

The company cautions that the implicit grade model presented in their figures is for drill targeting purposes only, and more drilling is required to verify the grades of modeled zones. However, the current results provide strong encouragement for continued exploration and development at the Sela Creek Gold Project.
