Koryx Copper Announces Updated Mineral Resource Estimate for the Haib Copper Project, Southern Namibia

Koryx Copper S.A. has released a significantly updated Mineral Resource Estimate for its wholly-owned Haib Copper Project located in southern Namibia. This new assessment, dated March 25, 2026, represents a substantial improvement over the previous estimate from September 2025, with notable increases across multiple resource categories and operational metrics.

Resource Expansion Highlights

The updated mineral resource estimate reveals impressive growth in contained metals across both indicated and inferred categories. The project now boasts 2,090,000 metric tons of contained copper in the indicated resource alongside 1,385,000 metric tons in the inferred resource. When considering copper equivalent measurements, these figures rise to 2,338,000 metric tons indicated and 1,583,000 metric tons inferred.

Beyond copper, the Haib Project demonstrates significant precious and industrial metal resources. The gold component includes 487,900 ounces in the indicated category and 380,200 ounces in the inferred category. Meanwhile, molybdenum resources stand at 103,600,000 pounds indicated and 84,500,000 pounds inferred.

Technical Improvements and Operational Enhancements

The updated mineral resource estimate reflects several critical technical improvements that enhance the project's economic viability. Most notably, the stripping ratio has been reduced dramatically to 0.92x from the previous 1.74x, representing a significant operational efficiency gain that should translate to reduced mining costs.

Copper equivalent grade has increased substantially, with 18% and 23% improvements in the high-grade indicated and inferred categories respectively, reaching 0.40% and 0.39% CuEq. Perhaps most impressively, total mineralized material in the low-grade category has expanded by 416% in the indicated category and 636% in the inferred category, amounting to 744 million tons and 579 million tons respectively.

Project Development and Future Plans

The Haib Project represents a large-scale, advanced open-pit sulphide copper, molybdenum, and gold porphyry development with a small oxide cap. According to company projections, the operation envisions an average production rate of 92,000 tons per year in clean concentrate over a projected 24-year mine life.

Koryx Copper continues to advance the project aggressively, with 14 drilling rigs currently operating to complete a 55,000-meter drill program by mid-2026. Recent mineral sorting testwork has yielded excellent results, indicating potential for significant further grade uplift of processed mineralized material, which could substantially enhance the project's economics by improving both capital intensity and all-in sustaining costs.

The company has scheduled a Preliminary Feasibility Study for publication during the fourth quarter of 2026, building upon the positive Preliminary Economic Assessment completed in September 2025. That earlier assessment demonstrated the project to be technically and economically feasible with attractive economics and a simple, scalable, long-life development strategy.

Located in southern Namibia, the Haib Copper Project continues to demonstrate its potential as a significant copper resource with valuable by-product metals that could contribute meaningfully to global copper supply while supporting economic development in the region.
