VANCOUVER – Foremost Clean Energy Ltd. has received highly encouraging assay results from the initial phase of its 2025 diamond drilling program at the wholly-owned Jean Lake Gold-Lithium Property in Manitoba. The first two drillholes, JL25-001 and JL25-002, have intersected multiple high-grade gold zones, confirming and expanding the mineralized footprint along the Valkyrie Trend.
Exceptional Gold Intercepts Reported
The company announced remarkable assay highlights from its ongoing exploration activities near Snow Lake, Manitoba. Drillhole JL25-002 returned an impressive 10.7 grams per tonne gold over 5.6 meters starting at 100.5 meters depth. This intercept included an exceptionally high-grade zone of 82 g/t gold over 0.7 meters, demonstrating the rich nature of the mineralization.
Similarly, drillhole JL25-001 intersected 12.7 g/t gold over 2.07 meters from 118.18 meters depth, including a higher-grade section of 40 g/t gold over 0.6 meters. Additional significant results from JL25-002 showed 5.0 g/t gold over 2.2 meters from 113 meters depth, including 21 g/t gold over 0.5 meters.
Expanding the Mineralized System
These initial results from the 2025 program have successfully defined a larger mineralized system than previously recognized, extending the known boundaries of the gold-bearing structure. The current drilling has expanded upon the discovery made by hole JL23-008 in 2023, which had previously reported 7.50 g/t gold over 7.66 meters, including 102.0 g/t gold over 0.48 meters.
Jason Barnard, President and CEO of Foremost, expressed strong enthusiasm about the results. "We are extremely encouraged that the first two holes of our 2025 program have exceeded our expectations and further demonstrate the exceptional potential of our Jean Lake Project," Barnard stated. "The presence of multiple high-grade intercepts, highlighted by an exceptional 82 grams per tonne result, strongly validates the high-grade nature of the mineralizing system."
Strategic Timing in Bullish Gold Market
The company emphasized the favorable timing of these discoveries, noting that gold prices have recently tested historic highs above US $4,000 per ounce. This market environment creates optimal conditions for advancing high-grade gold discoveries like the Jean Lake Project.
"At a time of record gold prices, we are advancing a high-grade gold discovery at Jean Lake," Barnard commented. "Amid a bullish gold market, Foremost's high-grade discovery at Jean Lake represents a potential powerful growth catalyst and a truly exciting time for our company."
The 2025 drill program continues with additional results anticipated in the coming weeks. The campaign includes further drilling on gold targets as well as the first systematic testing of the property's lithium potential, particularly the near-surface, spodumene-bearing B1 Pegmatite.
The primary objectives of the current program are to test the extent of the gold-bearing Valkyrie Trend along strike and at depth while delineating lithium resources. The company looks forward to building upon this positive geological framework as it advances both commodity opportunities at the Jean Lake Property.
