Early Morning Traffic Stop Leads to Major Seizure

An early morning traffic stop in Burlington led to a significant seizure of firearms and narcotics by Halton Regional Police. The incident occurred on June 3, 2026, at approximately 4 a.m. when an officer on patrol stopped a vehicle at a Petro Canada station located at the intersection of Walkers Line and Harvester Road.

According to police, the lone male occupant of the vehicle was wearing a face covering at the time of the stop. During the subsequent investigation, the driver was arrested for impaired operation. A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered two handguns and a variety of illicit drugs.

Police reported finding a Glock 9 mm handgun loaded with nine rounds, a Glock .40 caliber handgun loaded with 14 rounds in the magazine, approximately 150 oxycodone pills, 150 Xanax pills, 40 hydromorphone pills, and 50 grams of crack cocaine.

Charges Filed Against Etobicoke Man

Leslie Prince, a 46-year-old resident of Etobicoke, faces 20 charges, including operation while impaired, four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, careless use of a firearm, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle.

Additional Incidents: Sexual Assault Charges in Toronto

In a separate case, Toronto police have charged 32-year-old Matthew Moloney with sexual assault following an alleged incident at a wellness clinic in the Bloor Street West and Runnymede Avenue area. The investigation began in May after a victim reported being sexually assaulted during a massage appointment. Investigators believe there may be additional victims and encourage them to come forward. In another development, Pablo Ramirez Martinez, 32, of Toronto, surrendered to police on Monday and faces multiple charges, including two counts of sexual assault, four counts of assault, three counts of mischief obstruct property under $5,000, two counts of uttering threats causing bodily harm, uttering death threats, forcible confinement, mischief, criminal harassment, and uttering threats to property damage. The alleged offences occurred between October 2025 and June 2026 in the York neighbourhood near Foxwell and Jane Streets. The accused and the victim are known to each other.
