Canadian mining company Aya Gold & Silver Inc. has announced groundbreaking results from its ongoing 2025 drilling program at the Boumadine project in Morocco, reporting the strongest mineralized intercept in the company's history alongside the discovery of a significant new high-grade parallel structure.
Record-Breaking Mineral Discovery
The Montreal-based corporation revealed that drill hole BOU-MP25-087 intercepted an exceptional 2,323 grams per tonne silver equivalent over 15.0 metres, marking the company's best-ever mineralized intercept. This remarkable interval contained multiple valuable metals, including 3.31 grams per tonne gold, 1,900 grams per tonne silver, 4.8% zinc, 1.8% lead and 0.03% copper.
Even more impressive were the results from an 8.7-metre section within this intercept, which yielded 3,858 grams per tonne silver equivalent with substantially higher concentrations of all metals: 5.37 grams per tonne gold, 3,208 grams per tonne silver, 6.3% zinc, 2.8% lead and 0.05% copper.
New High-Grade Parallel Structure Identified
In another significant development, the exploration team identified a previously unknown high-grade parallel structure within the Boumadine Main Trend. Drill hole BOU-DD25-623 intersected this new zone, returning 540 grams per tonne silver equivalent over 47.3 metres, demonstrating both impressive width and continuity.
The newly discovered structure showed particularly strong mineralization in specific sections, including 681 grams per tonne silver equivalent over 10.6 metres and an even richer interval of 1,286 grams per tonne silver equivalent over 11.7 metres. This discovery opens substantial new exploration potential for the project.
Additional High-Grade Results Beyond Current Mining Plans
The drilling program yielded multiple other significant intercepts located outside the current Preliminary Economic Assessment pit shell, suggesting potential for expanded mining operations. One notable result came from hole BOU-RC25-026, which intersected 3,336 grams per tonne silver equivalent over 6.0 metres approximately 75 metres south of the current Central pit shell.
This intercept included an exceptionally rich 2.0-metre section assaying 8,163 grams per tonne silver equivalent with remarkably high gold content of 102.38 grams per tonne. Two additional drill holes, BOU-DD25-633 and BOU-RC25-043, also returned substantial mineralization, further confirming the property's extensive high-grade potential.
CEO Optimistic About Boumadine's World-Class Potential
Benoit La Salle, President and CEO of Aya Gold & Silver, expressed strong optimism about the results. "The new high-grade parallel structure in the southern portion of Boumadine's Main Trend with hole BOU-DD25-623, together with our best-ever mineralized intercept in hole BOU-MP25-087, confirms that Boumadine still has substantial upside to unlock," La Salle stated.
He emphasized that these large, high-grade intervals—particularly those located outside current pit shells—point toward growing resources, larger ultimate pit extents, and increasing scale for the project.
The company has maintained aggressive exploration activities, having completed 133,003 metres of drilling at Boumadine year to date. With nine drill rigs currently active, Aya Gold & Silver is preparing to launch an even more extensive 360,000-metre infill program outlined in the PEA. The company expects to have 12 to 16 drill rigs operational by the first quarter, demonstrating its commitment to fully realizing Boumadine's world-class potential.
These latest results from the ongoing 2025 exploration program not only establish new records for the company but also significantly enhance the project's economic prospects by confirming strong high-grade continuity along the 5.4-kilometre Boumadine Main Trend.
