Winnipeg police have arrested three men in connection with the kidnapping of a delivery driver who was held at gunpoint for several hours before escaping. The incident occurred on July 10, 2026, when the driver was abducted while making a delivery in the city.
Victim Escapes After Hours-Long Ordeal
According to police, the driver was taken against his will and held at gunpoint by the suspects. The victim managed to escape and sought help from a nearby resident. Police were called to the scene and later arrested three individuals in connection with the kidnapping.
"This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim," said Winnipeg Police Service spokesperson Const. Jay Murray. "We are grateful that he was able to get away safely."
Suspects Face Multiple Charges
The three men, whose identities have not been released, face charges including kidnapping, forcible confinement, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. They remain in custody pending a court appearance.
Police have not disclosed a motive for the kidnapping but say the investigation is ongoing. The delivery driver was not physically injured but is receiving support from victim services.
