Milwaukee Tool Invests in Georgina, Launching Major Service Hub in Keswick
Milwaukee Tool Opens New Service Hub in Georgina, ON

The Town of Georgina is celebrating a significant economic development win with the announcement that Milwaukee Tool, a global powerhouse in professional power tools, will establish a major new Service Hub within the Keswick Business Park. This investment marks a pivotal moment for the community's industrial and employment landscape.

Strategic Location Drives Major Investment

Following an extensive review process, Milwaukee Tool selected the Keswick Business Park for its strategic advantages. The site offers exceptional connectivity, being just a one-hour drive to the Greater Toronto Area's urban core via Highway 404. It is also only 35 minutes from Highway 401 and 60 minutes from Toronto Pearson International Airport. This prime location provides access to a skilled workforce of over 4.5 million people within a 60-kilometer radius.

John Myers, President of Milwaukee Tool Canada, emphasized the strategic rationale: "Canada is a key growth market for us. Georgina offers the ideal combination of strategic location, skilled talent, and long-term growth potential. This investment represents our ongoing commitment to expanding our operational footprint nationwide."

A Boost for Georgina's Economy and Employment

The new facility will occupy 54,000 square feet and is slated to become fully operational by the fourth quarter of 2026. It is expected to employ more than 60 people, creating meaningful job opportunities for local residents. The hub will function as a centralized operation to enhance customer support, streamline service processes, and improve turnaround times for tool repairs and parts across the country.

Georgina Mayor Margaret Quirk, alongside Councillors Neeson and Fellini and members of the Economic Development Advisory Committee, formally welcomed the company. Mayor Quirk stated, "Milwaukee Tool's expansion into Georgina is significant. It signals strong momentum in our efforts to attract major industrial companies and reflects confidence in Georgina as a preferred location for investment."

Long-Term Growth and Operational Efficiency

The move to the 200-acre Keswick Business Park allows Milwaukee Tool considerable room for future expansion, with capacity for buildings exceeding one million square feet. The park's modern industrial infrastructure and ample parking were key factors in the decision.

By consolidating multiple service facilities into this single, modern hub, Milwaukee Tool aims to improve workflow, increase service capacity, and ensure a more consistent experience for professional tool users from coast to coast. The new Service Hub will also enhance the company's parts management and logistics capabilities, positioning it to meet rising customer demand effectively.

This development strengthens Georgina's position as an emerging hub for logistics, manufacturing, and service operations in the northern part of York Region, signaling growing confidence from the corporate sector in the town's economic future.
