The Hospitals of Regina Foundation has introduced the winners of its latest lottery, with Laszlo Berta and his son Vendel taking home the grand prize show home. The pair received a giant key from Dino Sophocleous, President and CEO of the foundation, in a ceremony captured by CTV News photographer Gareth Dillistone.
The lottery supports healthcare initiatives in Regina, raising funds for critical medical equipment and services. Winners were selected from thousands of participants across the province. The grand prize show home is a fully furnished property valued at over $1 million, located in a desirable neighborhood.
Lottery Impact on Regina Healthcare
Proceeds from the lottery directly benefit the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, which provides funding for the Regina General Hospital, Pasqua Hospital, and other healthcare facilities. The foundation has raised millions through annual lotteries, helping to purchase advanced medical technology and improve patient care.
Laszlo Berta expressed gratitude for the win, stating that the prize will allow his family to enjoy a new home while supporting a worthy cause. The foundation encourages community participation in future lotteries to continue enhancing local healthcare.
