Costco in Canada has issued a new recall for window shades that may pose a choking hazard to young children. The recall affects Bali Springs Cellular shades with model number BC23, sold on Costco.ca between January 1, 2025, and April 9, 2026.
According to a notice on Costco's website, the end caps on the bottom rail of the shades may not be securely glued, releasing small parts that could choke children. The product label is located on the top of the headrail, displaying the model number and manufacture date.
What Consumers Should Do
Costco advises customers to immediately stop using the recalled shades and contact Springs Window Fashions. If the end caps are loose, the vendor will provide a glue kit with instructions. Alternatively, customers can return the product for a full refund.
