A Florida man is facing charges after allegedly using a chainsaw to break into a store and steal thousands of dollars worth of Pokémon cards.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred at a Lake Park store. The suspect, a West Palm Beach resident, is accused of using a chainsaw to cut through the store's security gate and door to gain entry.

Once inside, the thief stole approximately $12,000 worth of Pokémon trading cards before fleeing the scene. Authorities were able to identify the suspect through surveillance footage and other evidence.

The suspect has been arrested and charged with burglary and grand theft. The stolen cards have not yet been recovered, and the investigation is ongoing.
