South Simcoe Police have arrested a man they say committed three retail thefts in a single day, with the third incident leading to his capture. The alleged thief was caught after a series of shoplifting sprees across Barrie, Ontario.

According to police, the suspect was involved in three separate thefts on the same day. The first two incidents went unnoticed until the third attempt, where store security and law enforcement collaborated to apprehend him. Officers responded to a call from a retail store and took the man into custody without incident.

South Simcoe Police Constable Peter Johnson stated, “This individual clearly did not learn from his earlier actions. Thanks to the vigilance of store staff and our officers, he was caught before he could commit further offenses.”
