Airdrie RCMP are appealing for witnesses following an e-bike robbery that took place on June 20, 2026. The incident occurred in the southwest area of Airdrie, Alberta, and police are seeking information to identify the suspect involved.
Details of the Incident
According to RCMP, the robbery happened in the afternoon on June 20. The victim was riding an e-bike when an unknown individual approached and demanded the bicycle. The suspect then fled the scene with the e-bike. No injuries were reported, but the victim was left shaken by the encounter.
Police have released a description of the suspect: a male in his late teens to early 20s, with a slim build, wearing a dark hoodie and jeans at the time of the robbery. The e-bike is described as a black model with distinctive red accents.
Call for Public Assistance
“We are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information about the suspect to come forward,” said Cpl. James Smith of Airdrie RCMP. “Even small details could be crucial to our investigation.”
RCMP are also reviewing surveillance footage from nearby businesses and homes. They urge residents in the area to check their security cameras for any suspicious activity around 2:00 PM on June 20.
