Jayman Built Wins Single Family Builder of the Year for Third Consecutive Year
Jayman Built Wins Builder of the Year for Third Year

Innovation and inspiration are deeply embedded in Jayman Built's DNA, as demonstrated by its recent triumph at the Building Industry and Land Development Calgary Region (BILDCR) annual gala on April 11. The Calgary-based homebuilder claimed the Grand Award for Single Family Builder of the Year-Large Volume for the third consecutive year, marking the 28th time the company has earned a Builder of the Year title across Alberta.

A Hat Trick of Success

Jay Westman, chairman, CEO, and founder of Jayman Built, expressed his pride in the achievement. "Well, it was a hat trick for sure. This doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it makes it even more special. Marketing, design, innovation, and customer service all came together. Winning Builder of the Year for the third year in a row shows the dedication of the whole Jayman team, and I couldn't be more proud."

Stephanie Myers, senior vice-president of Nostalgia Townlet at Jayman Built, emphasized that the milestone reflects the company's culture. "One of our core values is that 'being second isn't good enough,' and each team member truly takes that to heart. This honour could only be achieved through our dedication to energy-efficient and sustainability innovations, leading floor plan designs, unparalleled show home merchandising, and, above all, excellence in customer experience. We are dedicated to providing a world-class experience from the moment buyers enter our sales centre to after possession."

Dominant Performance at BILDCR Gala

The Grand Award was just one of many accolades for Jayman Built during the gala. The builder secured eight additional category wins, a breadth that Myers says is no accident. Category wins included Best Brochure and Best Multi-Family Community Concept for its Park Place of Lake Mahogany project. Jayman also claimed Best New Home honours across three price categories: the Rockford 24-2 ($475,000-$524,999), the Elliott 24 ($525,000-$574,999), and the Rockford 24-2 ($575,000-$624,999). These designs exemplify the company's commitment to personalization and value across a broad range of buyers.

"Jayman's portfolio of home designs is incredibly diverse," says Myers. "Our team has done a great job of investigating how each demographic group lives in their space and has adapted our homes to support them."

Park Place of Lake Mahogany: A Standout Project

Jayman's Park Place of Lake Mahogany project performed exceptionally well at the BILDCR Awards, garnering a collection of wins and finalist nods. Myers attributes the project's success to its home designs, maintenance-free living, and prime location. Targeting first-time home buyers and downsizers, Park Place offers attached garages, two- to three-bedroom layouts, five-piece spa-inspired ensuites, and luxury finishes at an accessible price point. The project backs onto a 13-acre central park with tennis and pickleball courts, a playground, community gardens, and pathways, and is just steps from Mahogany Lake, to which all Park Place homeowners have access. The project is more than 65 per cent sold.

"We build destinations, enhancing the communities we build in," she says.

Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation

Myers notes that innovation and inspiration are built into the company's DNA, extending well beyond floor plans. "We believe in protecting the environment, especially when it comes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and helping to save our homeowners money annually on their electricity and energy costs."

Jayman Built's consistent recognition at the BILDCR Awards underscores its leadership in the homebuilding industry, driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence in design, customer service, and sustainable practices.
