The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has announced that a winning Lotto 6/49 ticket worth $5 million was sold in Stoney Creek, Ontario. The Classic Jackpot draw took place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, and the ticket was purchased at an authorized retailer in the community.
According to OLG officials, the winner has not yet come forward to claim the prize. In a statement, OLG expressed excitement about meeting Ontario's newest multimillionaire. The corporation reminds players to check their tickets and sign the back of any winning ticket.
Other Winning Tickets
In the same draw, the $1-million Gold Ball Jackpot winning ticket was sold in London, Ontario. Additionally, a second-prize ticket worth $222,790.70 was sold in Kitchener. The Lottario jackpot, valued at $440,895.30, was also drawn on Saturday and won with a ticket sold in the Kawartha Lakes Region.
New Scratch Ticket: The Beautiful Game
OLG has also launched a new scratch ticket called "The Beautiful Game" to celebrate the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, which will be hosted in part by Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The $10 soccer-themed ticket offers players a chance to win one of four top prizes of $250,000.
Amanda Marshall, OLG’s Chief Lottery Officer, said in a statement: "Soccer is bringing Ontarians together, and our new scratch ticket is inspired by that shared passion. Every play with OLG helps support communities across Ontario, with 100 per cent of OLG profits reinvested back into the province. The Beautiful Game scratch ticket is a fun way for players to join in the excitement while giving back."
Prizes for the new ticket range from $10 to $250,000. As an official Toronto World Cup 2026 host city supporter, OLG is also planning an attempt at a Guinness World Records title for the largest game of human foosball on May 23.
