Thousands of rubber ducks took a swim in the Rideau River in Manotick as part of an inaugural fundraiser to support Watson's Mill. The event, which featured 2,000 rubber ducks racing for glory, was organized to raise funds for the historic mill.
CTV's Camille Wilson reported on the event, which brought the community together for a fun and charitable cause. The ducks were released into the river, and the first ones to cross the finish line won prizes for their sponsors.
Watson's Mill is a beloved landmark in Manotick, and the funds raised will help with its preservation and ongoing operations. Organizers expressed gratitude for the community's support and hope to make the duck race an annual tradition.
