La Tablée des Chefs Wins F1 Allwyn Global Community Award and €100,000
La Tablée des Chefs Wins F1 Community Award €100,000

La Tablée des Chefs has been awarded the first F1 Allwyn Global Community Award of the 2026 season, receiving a €100,000 donation to support its fight against food insecurity. The announcement was made at the Formula 1 Lenovo Grand Prix du Canada in Montreal.

Expanding the Award Programme

The 2026 programme expands to celebrate more communities, with up to eight NGOs across Grand Prix race locations set to be recognised. This builds on the success of the previous year, which included initiatives in the Netherlands, Mexico, Austin, and Las Vegas. Fans will later have the opportunity to vote for their favourite initiatives as part of Allwyn's plan to bring them closer to the programme.

Impact of the Donation

The €100,000 grant will enable La Tablée des Chefs to recover more food from large-scale summer events, work with an additional 400 food recovery donors, and inspire other industries to adopt sustainable food recovery practices. The organisation focuses on redistributing high-quality, nutritious meals to vulnerable families in Montreal and across Canada by connecting surplus food donors with local community organisations. It also offers educational programmes to promote food autonomy among youth.

La Tablée des Chefs has collaborated with the Formula 1 Lenovo Grand Prix du Canada on food recovery for several years. The judges recognised the charity's demonstrable impact and scalability, noting that its mission aligns with the award's key pillars: sustainability and innovation, health and wellbeing, education and opportunity, and empowerment and inclusion.

Trophy Design

In addition to the financial grant, each winner receives a new trophy designed by Jan Plecháč, creative director of the renowned Czech glassworks Moser. The trophy features a stable foundation with suspended spheres representing the successful recipients, handcrafted using Moser's UNESCO-recognised glassmaking tradition.
