Five Saskatchewan Golf Courses to Visit This Summer

The time has finally come for those looking to hit the golf links this summer in Saskatchewan, and there is no shortage of options to test your game and experience breathtaking scenery. From hidden gems to local favourites, here are five Saskatchewan golf courses to experience this summer.

1 — Golf Kenosee

Nestled in Moose Mountain Provincial Park beside Kenosee Lake, Golf Kenosee is in a deeply-wooded area with hills that pose a unique challenge for golfers. Located roughly 200 kilometres southeast of Regina, this 18-hole par 72 public course has a length of 6,338 yards and features plenty of water hazards and sand traps. Superintendent Kelvin Van Winkoop, who has worked at the course for more than 22 years, notes that many visitors are surprised by the elevation changes in the forested southern Saskatchewan landscape. He describes it as a very scenic property where golfers enjoy the challenge posed by trees around each hole. The course also hosts provincial high school tournaments, Golf Sask. amateur and mid-amateur championships, and ladies tournaments that can accommodate up to 450 people in the clubhouse. 2 — Waskesiu Golf Course

Located in Prince Albert National Park, Waskesiu Golf Course is nestled in the northern boreal forest, offering glimpses of Waskesiu Lake. This 18-hole par 72 public course has a length of 6,266 yards and was built in 1935 by Canadian architect Stanley Johnson. Elk are known to roam the fairways, providing plenty of photo opportunities. The course was ranked 15th on Canada’s Best Public Golf Courses by Score Golf in 2025 and hosts PGA Canada tournaments. Amenities include a pub-style restaurant, a grass driving range, putting green, practice bunker, golf carts, and a pro shop. Opening day had not yet been announced at the time of publication. 3 — Deer Park Golf Course

Deer Park Golf Course is an 18-hole par 72 public course located in Yorkton, known for its wide fairways and water hazards and sand bunkers. This year, the course is hosting a Two Person Scramble tournament on June 11-12, a Theodore Buffalo Scramble on July 4, and an RCMP tournament on July 17. 4 — Katepwa Beach Golf Club

In the Qu’Appelle Valley, roughly 100 km northeast of Regina, Katepwa Beach Golf Club overlooks Katepwa Lake and has a reputation for dramatic elevation changes. This scenic course offers a unique test of golf with its rolling hills and beautiful lake views, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
