Amlan International, the animal health division of Oil-Dri Corporation of America, has announced a key leadership appointment aimed at strengthening its presence in the Asia-Pacific region. The company has named Dr. Edwin Pei Yong Chow as its new Technical Service Director for APAC.
A Seasoned Leader for Animal Health Innovation
In his new role, effective December 1, 2025, Dr. Chow will report directly to Dr. Michael Hua, the Regional Director for APAC. His primary mandate will be to lead and execute Amlan's technical service strategy across the diverse Asia-Pacific markets. This involves driving business growth through enhanced customer engagement, fostering technical innovation, and developing comprehensive training programs for partners and clients.
Dr. Chow brings over 15 years of extensive experience in the animal health, feed additives, and nutrition sectors. His career spans critical areas including scientific research, product development, technical service, and commercialization. Prior to joining Amlan, he held senior scientific and management positions at prominent industry players such as Berg+Schmidt, Adisseo, and Kemin Industries. In these roles, he successfully led regional and global teams focused on creating innovative nutritional and functional solutions for both livestock and aquaculture species.
Bridging Science and Practical Application
Dr. Chow has a proven track record of translating complex scientific research into practical, on-farm applications that deliver measurable improvements in animal performance and producer profitability. Among his notable accomplishments are the launch of new aquaculture programs across Asia, the establishment of regional customer testing laboratories, and driving product innovation through strategic collaborations with universities, government agencies, and industry leaders.

Dr. Chow holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore, where he also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology. His expertise is further demonstrated by a strong portfolio of published research, patents, and significant contributions that bridge the fields of animal nutrition, food technology, and applied materials science.
