John Tortorella Out as Vegas Golden Knights Head Coach
Tortorella Won't Return as Golden Knights Coach

The Vegas Golden Knights announced that John Tortorella will not return as head coach for the upcoming season. The decision comes after the team's loss in the Stanley Cup Final to the Carolina Hurricanes.

Tortorella's Tenure with the Golden Knights

Tortorella joined the Golden Knights in 2022 and led the team to a Stanley Cup championship in 2023. However, after a disappointing playoff exit in 2024 and a loss in the 2026 Final, the organization decided to move in a different direction.

Statement from the Team

General Manager Kelly McCrimmon said, "We thank John for his contributions and dedication. We wish him the best in his future endeavors." The team will begin an immediate search for a new head coach.
