Kylian Mbappé delivered a masterclass performance on Tuesday, scoring twice to lead France to a 3-1 victory over Senegal in their World Cup Group I clash at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Mbappé Makes History
The 27-year-old forward opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a clinical finish, then added a second goal in the 68th minute to put France ahead for good. With his brace, Mbappé surpassed Thierry Henry to become France's all-time leading scorer with 52 international goals.
France took control early, with Mbappé's first goal coming after a slick passing move involving Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembélé. Senegal equalized through Sadio Mané in the 38th minute, but Mbappé restored the lead just after halftime with a powerful strike from the edge of the box.

France Dominates Second Half
Les Bleus controlled possession throughout the second half, and substitute Randal Kolo Muani sealed the win with a 78th-minute header from a Griezmann cross. France's defense held firm, with goalkeeper Mike Maignan making several key saves to deny Senegal an equalizer.
The victory puts France top of Group I with three points, while Senegal will look to bounce back in their next match against Australia.
Mbappé's record-breaking performance drew praise from teammates and fans alike, with many calling it one of the finest individual displays in World Cup history.
