Le'Veon Bell Accuses Ex-Jets Coach Adam Gase of Cocaine Use in Office
Le'Veon Bell: Adam Gase Did Cocaine in Office

Former NFL running back Le'Veon Bell has made serious allegations against ex-New York Jets head coach Adam Gase, claiming he witnessed Gase using cocaine in his office on multiple occasions.

Bell's Allegations

On an episode of the Respectfully The Justin Laboy Show posted Sunday, Bell described Gase as the "dumbest" and "worst coach ever" before leveling the drug accusations. Bell stated that Gase "did a lot of shit in that office that coaches ain't supposed to be doing" and mimicked snorting cocaine. "We about to go to practice, bro! ... This is what you're doing in here?" Bell exclaimed.

When Laboy questioned if Bell had actually seen Gase sniff cocaine, Bell responded, "With my own two [eyes]. ... Hey, not just once, though."

Impact on Coaching

Bell continued, "It was just crazy to me to actually see him doing it. I heard all the stories and shit. Yeah, I think Adam Gase is on that cocaina. ... He was fried calling them plays. He was fried."

Gase compiled a 9-23 record during his brief tenure with the Jets. He was later hired as an assistant coach by the Los Angeles Chargers. HuffPost has reached out to the NFL and Gase through the Chargers for comment.

Bell's Career and Legal Issues

Bell, who had several productive seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, played for Gase during the 2019 season and part of 2020. He played his last NFL game in 2021 and later pursued a professional boxing career, posting a 2-1 record.

In 2025, Bell was ordered to pay $25 million in an incest lawsuit brought by a cousin. He has maintained his innocence and claimed he was denied due process.
