The veteran winger is expected to be ready for action when the Flames resume play after the Olympic break, facing the San Jose Sharks on February 26th.

The bigger question surrounding Coleman's return is how long he will remain in a Flames uniform. Persistent trade rumors have followed the player throughout the season, especially as Calgary has struggled to find consistent success. With the NHL trade deadline set for March 6th, many analysts believe it's more likely than not that Coleman will be moved to a contending team before that date arrives.
"It's been a little quiet lately, so it's been good," Coleman acknowledged during a media availability at the Scotiabank Saddledome. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't aware of everything and keeping up with it. It's a lot of moving pieces at this stage of my life with family and kids. It's not just me anymore."
The 34-year-old forward emphasized his professional approach to the situation, stating: "The dialogue's been open and pretty clear. I always looked at it the same. From Day 1, I'm a Flame until I'm told I'm not and I'm going to bring my best every day here."

The forward praised Conroy's communication skills, noting: "I think that one of the greatest things about Conny is his ability to talk to players and connect on that level. It's a tough job. He's got a job to do and we have a job to do as players and we haven't lived up to it this year, so it's why we're even discussing these things."
Coleman added that he maintains "a tonne of respect for the way he goes about it" and believes that "whatever happens, that'll be the right decision."
