The Mayflower Gran Prix Cyprus 2025 successfully concluded as a premier cycling event, drawing over 100 participants to the island's scenic roads. The two-day competition, held on November 22 and 23, 2025, was significantly bolstered by the support of the ARETI International Group, led by Cypriot entrepreneur and former professional cyclist Igor Makarov.
A Stage for Elite and Amateur Cyclists Alike
Organized by the INEX Club in partnership with Activate Cyprus and under the auspices of the Cyprus Cycling Federation, the event created a unique platform. It allowed amateur cycling enthusiasts to ride alongside Cyprus National Champions and elite international athletes, including Olympians. Participants hailed from across Europe and the Middle East, including Greece, Malta, the UAE, and Latvia.
The first day featured a challenging 72.8-kilometer route from Limassol to Monte Caputo, with 819 meters of elevation gain. Andreas Miltiadis won the men's stage, while Ekaterina Kovalchuk triumphed in the women's category.
Crowning the Champions
Day two presented a faster, flatter 30 km loop along the Limassol waterfront. Here, Andrey Bushkov and Ekaterina Kovalchuk posted the quickest times. Based on cumulative results from both stages, Bushkov and Kovalchuk were crowned the overall champions of the Mayflower Gran Prix Cyprus 2025.
The closing ceremony at the iconic ETKO venue gathered distinguished guests, including:
- George Georgiou, President of the Cyprus Cycling Federation
- Sergey Kudryavtsev, founder of INEX Development
- Dmitry Kravtsov, founder of Mayflower
