Saskatoon Police Investigate Woman's Death as Homicide

The Saskatoon Police Service has launched a homicide investigation following the death of a 77-year-old woman. Authorities have not released the woman's identity pending notification of next of kin.

Investigation Underway

Police were called to a residence on the 400 block of Avenue T South on Monday evening. Upon arrival, officers discovered the woman deceased. The circumstances surrounding her death have led investigators to treat the case as a homicide.

The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section has taken over the investigation. Forensic teams are processing the scene, and detectives are interviewing witnesses and neighbors.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. They are particularly interested in any suspicious activity observed in the area over the past few days.

This is the second homicide in Saskatoon in 2026. The city recorded 15 homicides in 2025.
