Mississippi Mills Man Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash

A 27-year-old man from Mississippi Mills has died following a single-vehicle crash that occurred in the eastern Ontario community on May 13. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that officers from the Renfrew detachment, along with the McNab/Braeside Fire Department and Renfrew County Paramedic Services, responded to the scene on Bayview Lodge Road at approximately 9:45 p.m.

Details of the Incident

According to a news release issued the following day, the initial investigation indicates that the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree before becoming engulfed in flames. Emergency services arrived to find the vehicle fully involved in fire. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mississippi Mills is located about 50 kilometers southwest of Ottawa. The OPP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No further details have been released at this time.
