A 31-year-old Ottawa man has been charged after allegedly committing an indecent act while making a delivery at Fitzroy Provincial Park.
Incident Details
Ontario Provincial Police reported that a park employee observed the driver performing a lewd act while staring at her shortly before 1:30 p.m. on May 28. The employee sought assistance upon noticing the man's behavior, police said. Moments later, she heard a loud noise and saw the delivery van speeding away from the park. The vehicle allegedly crashed through the park's front gate as it fled.
Subsequent Arrest
Police stated that the same driver returned to the park for another delivery on June 2. He was arrested on June 5.
The man has been charged with committing an indecent act in a public place and careless driving. He is scheduled to appear in an Ottawa court at a later date. The allegations have not been proven in court.
Fitzroy Provincial Park is located approximately 60 kilometres northwest of Ottawa.
