Arrest Warrants for Two Ottawa Men in Perth Homicide

Arrest warrants have been issued for two Ottawa men in connection with the death of 34-year-old Christo Allison Richards in Perth. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) announced that Joseph Madore, 34, and Brayton Kennedy, 28, both of Ottawa, are wanted on charges of second-degree murder.

Incident Details

Richards, an Ottawa resident, was discovered with life-threatening injuries in Last Duel Park at approximately 3:15 p.m. on April 12. He was transported to a regional trauma center but later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead in the hospital.

Police Investigation

The Lanark County OPP, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, is leading the investigation. They are being assisted by the Office of the Chief Coroner, the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, the OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP Forensic Identification Services, and the OPP East Region Regional Support Team.

Last week, police indicated that the incident appeared to be targeted with no signs of a broader threat to the public. However, authorities have warned that anyone who sees Madore or Kennedy should not approach them and should contact police immediately.

The OPP has urged the public to report any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lanark County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
