A woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Etobicoke on Friday evening.
Incident Details
Toronto police reported that the collision occurred at around 8 p.m. near the intersection of Kipling Avenue and The Queensway. The woman was crossing the street when she was hit by a car traveling southbound on Kipling.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the victim to a local trauma centre. Her condition was described as serious but stable.
Police Investigation
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police have not laid any charges at this time. The intersection was closed for several hours as investigators reconstructed the crash.
According to Toronto police Constable Shannon Corless, “The investigation is ongoing. We are asking anyone with dashcam footage or who witnessed the incident to come forward.”
